Crossroads Paper is pleased to announce another important step in its plan to bring modern, recycled containerboard production to the western United States.
In a unanimous vote held August 14, 2025, the Humboldt County, Nevada, Regional Planning Commission granted a conditional use permit to Crossroads Paper for the construction of a recycled containerboard facility.
“We’re thrilled that the local community recognizes the economic impact our new facility can bring to the city of Winnemucca and Humboldt County, and we’re excited about the future of this project,” said John Sasine, CEO of Crossroads Paper. “We expect these new employment opportunities to bring significant benefits to the region for generations to come.”
Located just over two hours from the California state line, the new facility will drastically shorten the supply chain for corrugated packaging companies in the western United States. “This new location will reduce delivery times in this critical market from days or weeks to a matter of hours,” according to Sasine.
